“Yin is a profound, internal practice, leading to profound, internal understanding.”
This course is for current teachers and yoga students who are ready to feel deeply, understand the body's unique anatomy possibilities and advance their teaching skills. The intention is to offer a grounded, experiential dive into the anatomy of the lower body, Target Area methodology, and the art of contemplation through Chakra Meditation. It includes a focus on the rudiments and methods of the Yin's Lower Body Practice, the related full muscle group anatomy, including the 5 Muscle groups of the lower body, the 7 archetypal poses and 14 Joint segments of the body. There will also be a detailed analysis of Yin’s 20 Basic Poses.
You’ll leave with everything you need to confidently teach Yin Yoga and build a sustainable personal meditation practice.
What You'll Learn
Yin Yoga: Anatomy meets Energy
One of the great aspects of the Yin practice is that it gives us a beautiful experiential understanding of how our practice differs, depending on our unique bones and skeleton. Explore the mechanics and mystery of the Yin practice with a clear, science-meets-spirit approach.
- Target Area Methodology & energetic mapping
- Functional anatomy of the lower body: 5 muscle groups, 14 joint segments
- Skeletal variation: compression vs. tension
- The 7 Archetypal Poses & 20 essential Yin asanas
- Daily extended Yin practices using bolsters, walls & props
- Teaching techniques grounded in safety, creativity, and compassion
- Understanding fascia, meridians, and layered awareness
- The skills to deliver safe, inclusive, and deeply transformative classes
You’ll also engage in anatomical “exploration work” — comparing real skeletal differences between the yogis in the room. Jamie guides you through range of motion testing and practical applications that radically shift how you practice and teach yoga.

Meditation: Chakra-Based Inquiry & Contemplation
Mornings begin with stillness. Each session deepens your meditative awareness with a focus on the Chakra system, helping you refine your inner process.
- Daily guided Chakra meditations
- Techniques for deepening stillness and concentration
- Theory & philosophy of internal practice
- Group sharing, Q&A, and integration support
- Insights into emotional and energetic holding patterns
- Tools for facilitating and sustaining a home meditation practice
You can expect a blossoming meditation practice, helpful tools and techniques to facilitate deeper and more sustainable sitting with complementary forums of Q&A of experience and phenomenon.
Why Yin Yoga & Chakra Meditation?
In a yang-focused world, Yin Yoga & Meditation offer a necessary counterbalance — a space to slow down, feel, and truly see what’s within. It’s a potent alchemy of embodiment and awareness.
Yin is a deep, internal practice that reveals the uniqueness of our bodies through direct experience. As we meet our personal range of motion and anatomical structure, we begin to understand that no two bodies — and no two practices — are ever the same. This training provides the tools to recognise those differences, helping you to teach with clarity and expanded awareness.
Meditation complements this by guiding awareness inward. Through Chakra-based contemplative techniques, you'll create a solid foundation for self-inquiry and emotional resilience.
