Where in Goa:

Meandering towards the most northern point of Goa, lies some of the most stunning, deserted coastline you will ever see. Nestled between the more well known beach town of Anjuna, the old Hippie spot of the seventies, and the more emerging village of Arambol lies the friendly haven known as Mandrem Beach. With panoramic views of the coastline, cradled with palm trees, Mandrem is a family village with a relaxed bohemian flair. Home to local Goans, travelers and artists, Mandrem remains one of Goa’s more untouched, special places. There is a small village of bustling locals, set back from the beach community which is home to a few chosen beach resorts and retreat centres, interesting bars and fine restaurants of all cuisines.

With the village of Arambol and dozens of other tranquil beaches a short buzz of a scooter away, the options for exploration and variety are endless.

Mandrem is just over an hour drive North from the airport, about 20 mins from Anjuna and 5 mins drive from Arambol. In regards to the State of Goa as a whole, the colonial city of Panjim is centrally located, a traditionally Portuguese trading hub, dividing Goa in two. An hour and half drive to the south and you will approach the State of Karnataka and the crescent beach of Palolem. An hour and a half drive to the north and you will approach the State of Marathi a ferry boat ride over the ocean inlet that divides the two states apart.

Yoga on the Beach:

……..

Enjoy two liberating yoga classes daily, conducted on a large purpose built yoga pagoda, complete with roof shade nestled under swaying palm trees. You will practice breathing fresh sea air as you overlook the beach and coast. The combination of a more introspective opening routine coupled with a slightly stronger dynamic class will help you instantly feel relaxed, rejuvenated, energized and above all at peace. Whether you are an experienced yogi, or have always wanted to learn, we will take you into our yoga bliss, all while the ocean breathes its calming energy at our feet.

Other Fun:

You’ll be busy if you want to be…

Soak up Goan sun, swim in unbelievably warm ocean, have blissful massages, scooter to literally dozens of neighbouring beaches exploring or simply just rest and recharge . If chilling out is your thing then stroll along miles of almost deserted beaches, sip a beer at the bohemian cafes or relax in one of the many colourful local restaurants.

There is also kite surfing and kite surfing lessons, jet skiing, paragliding, elephant riding, jungle walks and the chance to get out and shop at some of the most amazing markets in Goa.

Anjuna is famous for the hippie market which is on Wednesdays and is acres of traders and artisans as well as trendy European designers producing one-off fashionable clothes and footwear. The Sunday night market is also an exquisite affair with amazing things to buy, from designer fashion to all the most authentic Indian arts and crafts, bargained to the backdrop of live music, fire performers and delicious world food.
