Jamie ClarkeJamie founds his journey into yoga, while living in San Francisco in 2001. In almost a magical twist of serendipity , he collided with his yoga path just as he was struggling to get over the sudden death of her mum. Since then yoga has become his journey, his medicine, and the portal that allows him to visit a very peaceful place inside himself. He is blessed that he can now help others to find their serenity within themselves. Over the years he has been fortunate to experience many disciplines of Yoga which has influenced his teaching, most notably with Ashtanga, Rocket, Vinyasa, Yin, Jivamukti and Mandala. He has been honored to learn from the magical and experienced, as well as the very students and companions that enrich my daily life and keep me more “awake”. |

Lizaan Joubert-JacobsLiz’s passion for Yoga began maybe many years ago, but she will tell you, it all came together in 2012, after living in Thailand for a three months, and on a Teacher’s Training Programme with the Yoga People. Liz had few affairs with Bikram Yoga over the last four years prior to the Yoga People, but was converted in no time! Liz is now a dedicated, qualified Ashtangi and gets her ‘fix’ from the Rocket System. She draws inspiration from her own life, this crazy beautiful world we live in, her teachers, Jamie Clarke and Dulce Aguilar, her fellow Yogi’s and she hopes to keep practising with the great teachers of our time, Richard Freeman being one of them. Liz also enjoys practicing and studying other forms of Yoga. Traveling the world, teaching and learning from other Yogi’s is the only bucket list she has. Going to India and back to Thailand will always be on that list! Liz also completed her Advanced Rocket Teacher Training.

Andrew ThomasAndrew found yoga by default having become immediately impressed by its benefits to developing inner core strength and focusing the mind as well as providing a more captivating body workout regime compared to the his usual weekly routines in the gym. After nursing a leg few injuries through playing football over a number of years which finally prevented him from undertaking dynamic leg strength work he took up yoga as an alternative programme and has not looked back. “I haven’t used the gym in the same way since. Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga and particularly the rocket has satisfied all my needs holistically.” Andrew was part of the original group in the UK to train with The Yoga People / Its Yoga (SF) on their RYT 200 course. He also completed the advanced Its Yoga Rocket 100 training course. He has practiced a variety of styles including Ashtanga, Hatha, Iyenga, Sivananda and Yin. His teaching styles focus on dynamic Ashtanga flow routines including Vinyasa and Rocket. His yoga teachers past and present include James Clarke, Dulce Aguilar, Myra Cardengo, David Swenson |
