Details of the Training:

Teaching Programme: 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Certification.

Location: Mandrem beach, Goa, India.

Schedule & Dates: From 12th March – 2nd of April, 2012.

Each day, class time will be 9.30am – 12.30pm & 3.00pm – 8.00pm, with the exception of three days to rest.

Teachers: Jamie Clarke, Dulce Aguilar & guest teachers from the It’s Yoga community.

The Venue:

Towards the northern reaches of Goa lies the panoramic beaches of Mandrem nestled with a sprinkling of quality hotels and accommodation, charming restaurants and friendly locals. The Dunes offers quality constructed beach chic huts which are functional and remarkably spacious. All accommodation are equipped with paved stone floors, en-suite bathrooms with western toilets and hot showers. The restaurant offers a full menu of delicious fresh vegetarian cuisine, with meat or fish if you fancy, perched over breathtaking views.

Requirements:

Students will be required to attend all lectures and discussions each day of the training. In addition to the extensive theory component of the training a large emphasis will be placed on developing the student’s own personal practice. Students will journal their own experiences of their daily yoga to develop their own teaching philosophy, supported by a the ethos of ”practicing what we teach and teaching only what we practice”. Prior to the course students will compose an outline of their previous yoga experiences and any personal and professional intentions for their exciting journey ahead. At the conclusion of the course students will be required to teach a class unassisted, in a real classroom situation.
